Press release regarding: KAWARTHA MALE CHORUS The “Boys” are back in Town On the weekend of May 25 and 26, 2019 a local New Liskeard girl is bringing her “Boys” back into Town Sally Rogers originally form New Liskeard is the talented Music Director for the Kawartha Male Chorus. Together with amazing accompanist Lynne Davis they are the musical brains behind this all male Choir. On Saturday May 25 at 2:00PM their tour starts with a mini Concert at the Northdale Manor in New Liskeard. On Saturday evening at 7:00PM they will sing a wide variety of songs and this will be taking place in the sanctuary of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in New Liskeard. Tickets are $15.00 at the door or at Chat Noir Books and Games, 57 Whitewood Avenue W in New Liskeard. The Kawartha Male Chorus will close their tour with a Church service on Sunday morning May 26 at 10:30AM at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in New Liskeard sharing their sacred music. About Sally Rogers: Born and raised in New Liskeard she earned a Bachelor in Music with a double major in Vocal through Performance and Music Education at McGill University and a Bachelor in Education from University of Western Ontario. Sally is currently teaching at St. Thomas Aquinas C.S.S. in Lindsay and is also the Choir Director at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Lindsay. About Lynne Davis: She is the amazing accompanist of our Choir and been involved with us for over 20 years. She deserves a degree and you will find out when you here are playing the keys. Lynne and her husband Jim are the proud parents of two sons who are professionally musicians. About the Kawartha Male Chorus: The Kawartha Male Chorus was formed in 1990 to provide a recreational activity for men in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario who enjoy singing in four part harmony. The Chorus is an active group with performances given through Ontario and the United States. In December 2002 the chorus was delighted to be appointed as the “Official Singing Ambassadors” of the City of Kawartha Lakes. The Kawartha Male Chorus has proudly established a scholarship fund for qualified students in any year of High School.
