Mount Pleasant Cemetery - Embankment Remediation

Location: Morissette Drive, Haileybury Mount Pleasant Cemetery

Proposed Start Date/Timeline: March 10, 2025 (estimated duration of two weeks, March 24, 2025)

Contractor: Pedersen Construction (2013) Inc.

Project Details/ Background: This project will stabilize the embankment located at the southern rear of the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, on Morissette Drive in Haileybury. The work will be carried out in the gully beyond the tree line, for the protection of the cemetery grounds. The objective is to prevent further erosion and to safeguard the area.

Although the work will be within the gully, the Contractor will utilize the Cemetery’s internal access roads to reach the work site.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) has been notified about the planned construction.

Temporary Closure During Construction: For the safety of all visitors, the area will be closed to the public. Please keep a safe distance from equipment and do not enter closed areas.

Construction timelines/ work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances.
