Council Meetings

Regular Council Meetings shall be held on the third Tuesday of each month commencing at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise decided by Council. Regular Council Meetings are live-streamed on the City’s Facebook page. 

Committee of the Whole Meetings shall be held on the first Tuesday of each month commencing at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise decided by Council.

Special Council meetings are called from time to time on an as needed basis. 

Meetings are held in the City Hall Council Chambers, 325 Farr Drive, Haileybury, unless otherwise posted.

Council Meeting Agenda & Council Package

Prior to Regular Meetings of Council members are provided with an electronic copy of the Council Package which contains, the agenda, the previous Council Minutes, correspondence received, meeting minutes from various committees and boards, staff Administrative Reports for specific topics and/or projects, and draft by-laws that will be considered by Council at the regular meeting. The agenda and Council package are available for the public as well.

The Council Package is normally posted on the website on the Friday prior to the Regular Meeting. View the list of Council Packages.

Council Committees and Boards provide recommendations to Council on certain municipal matters such as community-based recreational programming, transit, economic development, accessibility, library services, and policing.  These local bodies are comprised of Members of Council and local citizens.
